Columbia Gorge Chapter

Listen with webreader
Latourall Falls
We are parents in the Gorge region who support one another and our children as we negotiate the journey of dyslexia.

Goals

  • Parent Support   Each child is unique and each family has an unique story. With regular meetings and support groups, we share ideas about tools and methodologies that have helped as we advocate for our children.
  • Public Outreach/Education  We have planned a 2015-16 lecture series to help raise awareness and educate parents, teachers, and the community about dyslexia. The schedule is posted below — we hope that you will join us!
  • Working with School Districts We are continuing to work with key individuals within our school district to help improve communication about the resources available and support for all children with dyslexia.
  • Connecting   We communicate and share resources with the Portland chapter of Decoding Dyslexia through video streaming and collaboration of promoting statewide policy change regarding dyslexia and public education.
